A Couple Years Later..

..I'm looking at art schools, or universities with good art programs. I'm at UC San Diego right now, and I cannot say that I've been happy with their Visual Arts department so far. I'm looking at going to school in the San Francisco Bay area; looking for anyone with information/experience with art schools in that area.
I'm looking at getting a BFA in Illustration, Painting/Drawing, Graphic Design or possibly animation (I know it's a wide range.. just haven't decided which I would like to pursue yet).

Potential Camera..

I'm very seriously considering getting myself a Canon Powershot S3 IS .. from what I've seen it's gotten some pretty good reviews and good customer feedback. Does anyone happen to have any insight into the camera that I ought to consider before buying?
(P.S. the most complaints I've seen about it is that the macro isn't incredible.. something I wouldn't expect from a $400 camera. It's not a big issue with me.)

-Your Heritage: Half thai, quarter british, quarter god knows what else.
-The Shoes You Wore Today: Flip Flops
-Your Weakness: Coldplay, among a number of amazing bands that just make me want to melt.. lengthy and deep conversations where you just feel like you are completely understood by someone, and any good excuse to laugh.
-Your Fears: Going through life without passion for my work, and without someone to be passionate about.. being forgotten..
-Your Most Overused Phrase On an instant messenger: "haha" is pretty much what I say when I'm not really paying attention to the convo.. 94.3% of the time it fits.
-Bedtime: What's that? Haha no just kidding err.. I used to sleep on a 12-hour cycle (3 or 4 hours every 12 hours.. it sounded like a good idea at the time) but I've gotten better now and I'm usually sleeping around 2 or 3.
-Coke or Pepsi: ..yeah I'm actually kinda addicted to water right now. It's kinda screwed up actually, but it's convenient. It's good stuff, I'm telling you!
-McDonalds or Burger: McDonalds or Burger? What's that supposed to mean? Does McDonalds not sell burgers anymore or something? Geez I must really be out of the fast food scene..
-Lipton Ice Tea or Nestea: I have no idea, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I like the mango ice tea at work okay though..
-Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate. No.. vanilla. Errr.. both.
-Cappuccino or Coffee: Cappuccino ^_^ I can't say I drink them much though. I don't even have time at work, ironically.
-Do you Smoke: Nope nope. Though I hate to admit this, but in really small whiffs, I love the smell of cigarette smoke. It's a nostalgic smell for me kinda.
-Do you sing: You probably couldn't make me shut up. I was in a choir for 5 years, and I'm in the process of recording an album with a group of 3 of my best friends, should be finished by the end of August. Singing used to be my life. It's not so much anymore, but I still love it.
-Have you Been in Love: Haha.. I'm not sure how to interpret that, cuz there's a lot of different ways to go, but I'm going to go ahead and say no, I haven't. I've loved plenty of people, but I don't think I can say I've ever been in love.
-Do you want to go to College: If all goes well I'll be there in the fall.
-Do you want to get Married: I change my mind about this all the time, but I think eventually, yes.
-Do you believe in yourself: Not enough. I doubt myself all too often. I sometimes step back and see a lot of hate I have for myself, that I'm not quite sure how to get rid of. Just one of those personal battles, I suppose.
-Do you get Motion Sickness: I can't read in the car for more than 30 seconds, and I'm not the most comfortable person on boat rides.
-Are you a Health Freak: I'm a weak health freak. I exercise .. but sometimes it's just to get anger out. And I eat healthy, and I've developed a taste for healthy foods .. but I have weaknesses for certain types of foods, like chocolate.
-Do you like Thunderstorms: I love them. I find them calming, romantic even. Usually when I witness a thunderstorm I'm in Bangkok, so if I see one elsewhere, it reminds me of being there.. I love the rustic, humid feel of the air during a thunderstorm, and standing out in the rain. Someone once told me he wanted to kiss me in a thunderstorm.. Never got around to that though.
-Do you play a Instrument: I have a guitar but I'm not too good with it (too XP) .. I have tried so many instruments though.. clarinet, recorder, viola.. piano, guitar.. though I'm obviously in denial, I'm just not cut out for an instrument.
-In the past month have you Drank Alcohol: Nope.
-In the past month have you Smoked: Nope.
-In the past month have you been on Drugs: Nope.
-In the past month have you gone to a Mall: For a movie and some arcade time.
-In the past month have you eaten a box of Oreos: A whole box? Eep! No! Why is this always a question on these things, do people really do this that often??
-In the past month have you eaten Sushi: Yes! With Heidi! Only I'm not hardcore, I only eat vegetable sushi. I can't deal with raw fish, I'm a wuss XP
-In the past month have you been on Stage: Not really. Thank god.. I get horrible stage fright.
-Do you work (as in official work): Yes, at a little coffee shop downtown. I'm just learning the ropes, and I love it so far ^_^
-Is a girl/boy: Huh? Girl I guess. That's asking what I am, right..? Carlisle doesn't think I'm a girl but I don't have the drive to prove him wrong.
-Favourite Eye Colour: I love blue and green eyes, I've always been jealous of people with lighter eyes. Being half asian I have always had these really dark eyes, I've always felt kinda bland like that.
-Favourite Hair Colour: I love anything if the color has a little dimension. One tone is kinda bland, but if there's too much contrast it can easily look ridiculous
-Short or Long Hair: Different stuff works on different people, of course. I don't think it matters much as long as the person takes care of it. Long or short, if you don't take care of it, it's a real turn-off.
-Height: All the guys I hang out with are tall O.O Makes it hard to be short.. haha.
-Best Clothing Style: Personally, unless I'm drawing something in particular, I haven't taken an interest in clothes in a loong time, and my personal style is kinda rough but plain.
-Number of Drugs I have taken: 1 I guess.. maybe 2? I mean I've experimented a bit but only once for all of it. Other than that I'm clean. I can't keep up with life as it is, I don't need anything else confusing me more!
-Number of CDs I own: That I've bought, maybe 50 or so.. I've got cassettes too. That yes, I still listen to every once in a while, haha.
-Number of Piercings: One on each ear.
-Number of Tattoos: None, but there's one that I really want that I don't think I'll ever get.. but if I were to ever get one, I'd get a dragon down the side of my upper arm.
-Number of things in my Past I Regret: ..I'd like to say I don't regret anything, but to be honest, there's a couple things I'd change if I went back. There've been days when I wish like hell I could wipe my slate clean and start over. But you can't reboot life apparently, so just gotta keep going, huh?
